“The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it.” Steve Jobs - Founder of Apple computers

Hello! I'm Nelson Agelvis. I am a multiprofessional person and scholar dedicated to college counseling, college education and community service. I teach my students that the secret to a fulfilling life is to follow your passion and talent. I follow mine. This has led me to dedicate fully to my passion and talent, which is learning and teaching. My mission is to discover the talent and passion of my students and turn them into spiritually and economically successful citizens of the world.

As a college counselor, I try to find the true vocations of my students and the universities that fit their style and their educational background. I lead them through the whole application process like a friend, which is what I truly am. From choosing the universities to apply to, to selecting which university to finally go to, my students can count on my guidance like they count on their closest friends. Before going off to college, we'll even go over the psychological aspects of leaving home and how to cope with nostalgia.

As a professor and life coach, I encourage my students to learn beyond any academic curriculum. The world is a competitive place in which we need as many skills as possible, including general knowledge and social skills. I show my students the importance of knowledge and social aptness in the fight to break the corporate, institutional and social ceilings that limit many young professionals. I encourage students to be as worldly and cultured as possible so they can relate to all people and have a better understanding of the world that surrounds them.

To do this, a tutor must have a multidisciplined preparation, and there lies the difference between a teacher and a tutor. All my life I have been training my mind in the most varied disciplines, and today, I put them all to use in my mission. To do what I do, I have learned both formally and informally: English and English teaching, psychology, law, photography and digital art, computer science, public speaking and radio broadcasting, and many many, believe me many, more. A modern educational coach is expected to "know it all" and pass on this knowledge in a fun way. I try my best. It is my mission.
